Caption: We got up in the dark and made our way to the Laie Point. Houston set up his tripod in the dark and waited. Long before it popped up over the horizon, the sun began to warm the sky. As the first light we could tell that we were not the only ones on the island with the idea of watching the sunrise from this incredible place. But, the people in the image help to show the massive scale. And, we made some new friends as we all watched the day begin.
